The Laboratory Technologist, specializing in Immunology and Microbiology, plays a key role in the production and quality control of immunoassay products. Working in a regulated manufacturing environment, this role involves preparing reagents, formulating and assembling assays, and performing testing methods such as latex agglutination, ELISA, and lateral flow to ensure product accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established standards. The technologist is responsible for maintaining detailed production records, monitoring equipment performance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to meet quality and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Manufacture of the Company's products as per Manufacturing Instructions (includes but not limited to: Latex Reagents, ELISA products lines, Lateral Flow Assays, etc.).
Evaluation of purified IgGs
Reagent Formulations, Reagent Biologicals production
ERP - Generate work orders & post production runs.
Monitor & maintain inventory of sub-assemblies required for production.
Purification Operation (Includes but not limited to: Rabbit Serum purification (pAb), Cell Supernatant purification (mAb), etc.)
Maintenance of bacteria culture collection.
Backup for cell culture Operations:
Cell culture work (recombinant protein, monoclonal antibody, etc.)
Maintenance of cell culture lab
Storage and maintenance of Hybridomas and tissue culture lines
Participate in R&D / production improvement:
Assist in the development of new product lines & improving existing product lines, as well as Design transfer activities such as performing validation, etc.
Cleaning and sanitation of work areas
Participate in the creation and revision of Manufacturing Instructions, etc
Participate in related nonconformance investigations.
Perform related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field
Experience with immunoassay methods such as latex agglutination, ELISA, or lateral flow (academic or industry).
Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or regulated laboratory environment is an asset.
Strong attention to detail with excellent record-keeping and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of GMP, ISO, or other relevant quality standards is preferred.
Must be fluent in English (written and oral)
Must be legally permitted to work in Canada

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
