Position Overview




Temporary position until April 10, 2026, approximately.



The incumbent represents an internal help desk and support infrastructure. The incumbent is responsible for the monitoring, auditing, restoring and integrity of the patient information collected during the registration/admission process. Password resets, printer troubleshooting, triaging application issues and referring to a technologist or manager as needed, monitoring and managing automated jobs. Responsible for the generation of reports and the compilation of statistics related to compliance with data standards. Communicates findings of audits directly to the Manager. The incumbent is a member of the team that provides core training to the end users for the LIS system.

Basic Requirements



College diploma from a recognized program or successful completion of MLPAO or successful completion of CSMLS exam in the appropriate field of practice; Two (2) years of experience in LIS (Laboratory Information systems); Two (2) years relevant experience working with customized database systems; Advanced computer/IT knowledge relevant to the laboratory; Knowledge of lab protocols and specimen handling procedures; Knowledge of applicable occupational health and safety legislation; transportation of dangerous goods, WHMIS, Universal precautions and safe handling practices; Working knowledge of applicable provincial regulations relating to privacy, and patient handling; Ability and competency to make presentations; Good communication and interpersonal skills.


As a pre-condition of employment, all new EORLA employees will be required to obtain and provide a satisfactory Criminal Records Check dated within six (6) months from the date of issue.

Rotation/Shifts




Days and evenings, 8 hour shifts. Rotation to other TOH campuses may be required. For information purposes only - EORLA reserves the right to change.
