The hiring salary range for this position is from $88,177.05 to $101,425.35.
The Laboratory Specialist is responsible for method development, validation, optimization of methods, and the day-to-day oversight of mass spectrometry instruments. This role also provides technical expertise in support of daily laboratory operations, including participating in education and hands-on teaching activities.
Basic Requirements
Completion of a graduate (BSc) or post-graduate degree (e.g., MSc or PhD) in a relevant scientific field of study with lab experience;
Minimum of two years of practical experience working with mass spectrometry instruments;
Recent experience developing clinical diagnostic methods by HPLC-MS/MS;
Demonstrated experience working with small molecule MS assays and biological samples;
Advanced knowledge of Physical Chemistry and Mass Spectrometry, including the development of clinical assays;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Sound problem solving and conflict resolution skills;
Highly motivated;
Demonstrated organizational skills.
As a pre-condition of employment, all new EORLA employees will be required to obtain and provide a satisfactory Criminal Records Check dated within six (6) months from the date of issue.
