Salary Range


$31.14 per hour (with wage increments to a max of $34.96 per hour). Salary and wage increments are in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

WHAT IT TAKES


A Bachelor of Arts or Science in Mathematics or equivalent degree from a recognized post-secondary educational institution. Some Graduate level study in Mathematics or Education is preferred. At least 4 months of experience teaching college-level mathematics to groups of students. Working knowledge of current mathematics software and graphing technology. Demonstrated experience speaking to groups and preparing written materials and explanatory solutions for mathematics labs. Good working knowledge of the English language (written and verbal)

Additional Information


This temporary part-time (12 hours per week) position is available starting January 5, 2026 to April 24, 2026. Days of work fall between Mondays to Fridays. Shift days and times may change depending on the Department's need. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required. The position is located at the Coquitlam campus; however, successful candidates must be available for occasional work at the New Westminster campus. Douglas College is committed to supporting a healthy work/life balance for employees. A modified/flexible schedule and/or hybrid work from home arrangement may be considered, subject to the terms of the College's Work From Home Policy.
