Oversee the daily operations of all IVF laboratories, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with all applicable standards.
Develop and maintain comprehensive education and training programs for ART laboratory staff.
Supervise and mentor embryologists, andrologists, and laboratory technicians to foster professional growth and technical excellence.
Establish, review, and enhance
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
to ensure consistency, quality, and risk mitigation.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical, procedural, and operational challenges across all laboratory areas.
Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure full compliance with all
licensing, accreditation, and regulatory standards
, including federal, provincial, and Health Canada requirements.
Collaborate with senior leadership to maintain continuous adherence to evolving regulatory changes.
Liaise with accrediting bodies and auditors to support successful inspections and implement continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain robust
Quality Control (QC)
and
Quality Assurance (QA)
programs across all laboratory sites.
Evaluate and refine laboratory performance metrics (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and operational excellence.
Innovation & Growth
Evaluate, validate, and implement emerging technologies, methodologies, and fertility treatments to advance laboratory capabilities.
Lead and oversee all
research initiatives
within the laboratory, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and institutional guidelines.
Provide strategic direction for Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) services, driving innovation to enhance clinical outcomes and patient experience.
Qualifications
Master's or PhD in Reproductive Biology, Clinical Embryology, or a related scientific discipline (PhD preferred).
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in an embryology and/or andrology laboratory, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
In-depth understanding of ART laboratory procedures, equipment, and regulatory frameworks.
Proven track record in laboratory management, quality assurance, and staff development.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
