As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:
2 years experience in a medical laboratory working as a Medical Laboratory Assistant. Equivalencies may be considered. Cardiology training and experience including ECG's and Holter Monitors. All blood collection procedures including: venipuncture, micro punctures, blood culture collections as well as collections on all patient ages including newborns, pediatrics and geriatrics. Recent macro and micro urinalysis experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current registration with CSMLS. Experience with Connect Care Epic. Demonstrated participation in continuing education in a medical laboratory field. Recent experience in cardiology testing including Holter monitor and ECG with MUSE and Cardioday applications. Ability to communicate effectively in English. Good organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and promote teamwork. Familiar with Clinitek Status.
