You are comfortable working independently and as part of a team, you can develop and maintain positive working relationships with your colleagues and other healthcare professionals you may interact with. You have good judgement and decision-making skills and will conduct yourself according to the Alberta Health Services Code of Conduct and the APL Values of Kindness, Inclusion, Innovation, Agility, and Accuracy. Please note that this is a 7 on and off Regular part time position at the Northgate PSC. Your week will start on a Saturday followed by Sunday shifts scheduled between 0700-1530. Monday shift 1330-1900 and Tuesday to Friday from 1430-1900. Followed by 7 days off where you will have the opportunity to pick up shifts.

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Previous Phlebotomy experience and ECG certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

At least 2 years of recent phlebotomy experience. ECG experience.
