Primary Purpose
: Under direct supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor, Manager or Department Head, these positions are responsible for conducting sample preparation using the appropriate methods and assistant duties not limited to the list below. Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Maintain good laboratory housekeeping at all times:
    • Clean and manage laboratory glassware and plastic vessels (using dishwashing and handwashing)
    • maintain clean laboratory
    • clan equipment as directed,
    • discard waste;
  • Prepare samples for analysis as requested (weighing (aseptically as well), grinding, verifying etc);
  • Assist in handling documentation as directed (scanning, storing, organizing);
  • Stock supplies and assist in requesting supplies for ordering, as required;
  • Follow the Quality System as documented in the Quality Assurance Manual;
  • Perform instrument upkeep based on instructions and training provided (optional);
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Job Specifications
:
  • Highschool diploma;
  • Basic computer literacy;
  • Laboratory safety training;
Working Conditions: This is a laboratory environment with the majority of time spent standing and working at a lab bench. Hazardous materials are handled using established safety procedures and appropriate PPE.
