Job Summary:

We are currently hiring a

Lab Technician

to join our Optical Operations team in London, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for following established procedures in a laboratory environment, operating specialized equipment, performing quality checks, and supporting the day-to-day production of optical products.

The successful candidate must be able to work rotating shifts on a 2-week rotational basis,

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

and

Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM - 12:00 Midnight

.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Operate lab machinery and optical equipment according to standard procedures. Inspect products during and after processing to ensure they meet quality standards. Follow proper handling, packaging, and documentation practices for products. Perform regular cleaning and basic maintenance of machines and workspaces. Track and scan production jobs to monitor progress and completion. Organize tasks by priority to meet production and shipping deadlines. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times. Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures. Support general lab activities as needed to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications:

Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent required. Experience working in a lab, manufacturing, or production environment is an asset. Knowledge of optical theory and lens production is an asset Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions. Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment. Effective communication skills. Ability to lift, push, pull, and move items up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks. Capable of multitasking and prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
