Safety-Kleen in Breslau, Ontario, is seeking a Lab Technician to join their safety conscious team! You will be responsible for the routine analysis of samples to determine their chemical and physical properties in a production environment.

Work schedule: currently 4 weeks of days (06:00-14:30) and 2 weeks of afternoons (14:15-22:45). Weekends/stat holidays (06:00-14:30)

Responsibilities:
Performs analysis of samples following prescribed procedures.
Utilizes instrumentation and bench techniques
Completes all paperwork associated with the analysis in a neat and timely fashion
Ensure that all work meets applicable QA/QC guidelines.
Responsible for proper management of waste generated as a result of analytical procedures
Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment that is in compliance with all applicable OSHA regulations as well as all applicable company Health & Safety and Compliance protocols.
Works under the direct supervision of Lab Chemists.
Responsible for maintaining valid training files for all applicable laboratory SOPs
Responsibility for housekeeping and maintenance of Good Lab Practices
Responsible for adherence to all applicable Company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma - Science Related
Required to be able to wear a respirator in case of emergency
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to take direction.
Good communication (written/verbal) skills.
Good organization skills.
Initiative
Solid understanding of math, chemistry and chemical testing.
Proficiency in Windows based applications
