As Lab Technician Assistant, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the various tests and procedures required to accurately grade the quality and condition of grain samples for growers, traders and P&H\xe2\x80\x99s various facilities. This position will assist the Quality Control Manager and Lab Technicians with additional duties as assigned.

The Contract Full-time Lab Technician Assistant availability requirement from August - December 2023, Monday to Friday mornings or evenings with occasional overtime or weekend hours.

Your day-to-day activities will include:

• Preparing various samples for analysis and testing;
• Reporting/logging detailed results of tests and samples;
• Performing maintenance checks on equipment and log maintenance activity.

The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:

• Accuracy and attention to detail;
• Ability to identify and solve quality issues;
• Willingness to learn;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Flexible work schedule;
• Effective communicator both written and verbal;
• Knowledge and basic comprehension of lab terminology is an asset;
• Knowledge of basic testing procedures and equipment is an asset;
• Education in agriculture, science and/or food science would be an asset;
