Lab Network Development Operator

We are currently looking for a Technical Support NetDevOps Engineer for our networking lab operations- based in our Concord, GTA, Ontario location, who would report directly to our Manager of Technical Support. This person will be responsible for enabling the technical networking Teams (Lab Users) to operate efficiently by managing and automating networking LAB Infrastructure with development of the related tools. As a NetDevOps Engineer your goal will be to maximize the automation of manual tasks for developing and deploying code and data to implement continuous deployment and continuous integration frameworks. You will be responsible for maintaining high availability of Lab production and non-production environments. The ideal candidate would be someone with excellent analytical skills, who can multi-task on various projects, who is a good problem solver and has exceptional organizational skills.

What will you do?

• The NetDevOps Engineer is responsible for creating software, network automation, orchestrations, virtualization and its deployment strategies that are essential for the successful deployment of software in the work environment.
• One of the primary roles is to assist Systems and Sales Support groups by providing highly versatile Networking LAB infrastructure.
• Work closely with Technical Support, Professional Services, HQ and Global Field Applications Engineers and various internal groups to positively effect their performance by assisting with timely rolling out required lab infrastructure for needed projects.
• Conduct Lab infrastructure Maintenance, Change management and Automation Development for Ruggedcom Networking, Software, Cyber Integration Products and Solutions.
• Perform Development and Automation of the Lab Core Infrastructure, User Interface, Access Client and related Software.
• Lab Users Provisioning and Administration.

What will you need to succeed?

• You must possess ample knowledge and experience in system automation, deployment, and implementation using: Linux, BASH SHELL, VS Code, Python, Docker, VMWare ESXi SQL, HTML, JAVA Script, SQL
• Familiar with common CI/CD (continuous integration, continuous development) methods
• Expertise in using and customizing Git, Gitlab.
• Engineering graduate knowledge of configuring, implementing, proof of concept, troubleshooting, testing and design of the following Data networking and wireless technologies:

• TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLANs, VPN/Firewalls/Security
• Routing protocols \xe2\x80\x93 OSPF, RIP, VRRP
• Network Security \xe2\x80\x93 Firewalls, IDS, SSL/TLS, PKI
• RSTP/Spanning Tree
• Testing equipment \xe2\x80\x93 sniffers/protocol analyzers/traffic generators.
• NMS
• WiFi, LTE, 5G
• You like to discover and experiment and to stay up to date
• You can derive best practices and provide profound documentations to a broad internal as well as external audience
• Creating scripts and tools for managing the infrastructure and task requirements in build/release pipeline.
• Driving continuous improvement and necessary measure/s in understanding the build, test, packaging strategy, test tools
• Flexible and be able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Assets

• Certifications in Networking, Security, Virtualization: Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Paloalto, Nozomi, Claroty, VMWare and similar
• Network Automation, Web projects experience: Ansible, Paramiko, Flask, React, Angular, ThreeJS
• Experience providing solutions to technical teams and customers
• Defining and implementing Infrastructure setup for DevOps solutions and working with continuous integration and/or continuous delivery systems.
• Business fluent English in reading, writing, and speaking
