Hiring Unit:
Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology
Position Summary:

  • Assist in cultivating primary cells for the purpose of testing elastic fiber formation under different conditions.
  • Assist with the generation of recombinant expression plasmids for elastic fiber proteins and the generation of HEK293 cell clones to recombinantly express the proteins.
  • Assist with chromatographic purification of the recombinant proteins.
  • Enter data of the mouse colony (genotype, age, etc) into an Microsoft Access database.
  • Data entry in our existing laboratory reagent (DNA, protein, cells) database.
  • Maintains lab work area in a clean and orderly fashion.

Knowledge of English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level 3 on a scale of 0-4.

Hourly Salary: (AMUSE B) $16.35
