We are currently seeking a
Lab Assistant
to support the delivery of
PN1025
, a course in the Practical Nursing Program. This is a great opportunity for an experienced LPN or RN who enjoys working in an educational environment and supporting future healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager of Lab and Simulation and supporting the Lead Instructor, the Lab Assistant will:
Coordinate with the Lead Instructor to review course content, lab goals, and simulation expectations.
Arrive early to prepare lab equipment and participate in pre-lab briefings.
Support and monitor students during lab practice, offering guidance and clarification.
Assist with demonstrations and actively engage with students to enhance their skill development.
Participate in lab debriefings and help reinforce best practices.
Adhere to all standardized protocols, checklists, and safety procedures.
Provide assistance during the following
key testing days
:
December 6, 2025 - Lab Skills Midterm* February 11, 2026 - Case Study Evaluation* Clean and reset lab environments after each session in line with orientation guidelines.
Schedule
Lab Times:
7:30 AM - 5:00 PM (standard days)
SIMS Days:
9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Support is primarily required for testing and lab sessions, with dates and hours to be confirmed by the Lab Lead.
Qualifications
Current registration as an
LPN or RN
in good standing.
Minimum
3 years of recent and relevant work experience
in clinical or educational settings.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for supporting student learning.
Prior experience in simulation or instructional support is an asset.
Willingness to follow structured instructional materials with precision.
