Job Description

Duties:

Carry out spectroscopy procedures in accordance with documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or recognized standard reference methods. Instrumentation may include C/S Analyzer. Help perform general laboratory tasks including, but not limited to: finding samples, transferring solutions, and solutions disposal. Maintain the cleanliness of department workstations and equipment. Neutralize laboratory waste and dispose of waste in accordance with the local waste disposal regulations. Inform the spectroscopy manager of any unsafe conditions within the department. Maintain up-to-date logs of relevant documentation. Verify and record calibration of equipment as needed. Act in a safe and professional manner and wear appropriate attire, and PPE as required. Ensure proper functioning of the laboratory by: Ensuring adequate inventory of laboratory consumable supplies and chemicals. Practicing good housekeeping. Communicate general laboratory issues to spectroscopy manager as appropriate. Some lifting is required, up to 50lbs. Perform other duties as required by management.
Requirements:

High school grad or equivalent Up to 3 years lab experience Attention to detail and able to follow complicated instructions carefully Able to work in both a team and in an individual capacity Organized, able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
