Job Summary

We are looking for highly energetic and responsible applicants for the position of part-time assistants who would be working with children in the age group of 3-15. This Kumon center is close to Surrey Memorial Hospital.

Job Type / Category

This is a part-time position, on a permanent basis. Before applying, please ensure you are available on Tuesdays and Saturdays. There will be a probationary period, before hiring is considered permanent. You will perform in many areas of the center, multi-tasking and individuals with high observation skills desired.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

Must be reliable, have strong interpersonal skills, and enjoy working with children. Must be post-secondary or beyond. Must be proficient in Math and English (an assessment test will be required). Experience working with children or tutoring is a plus. Must be available Tuesdays 3pm to 8pm and Saturdays 10am to 5pm (in the beginning, you may start 1 class/week). Ability to balance school and work in parallel. Being an ex-KUMON student is a plus or previous KUMON experience. Must produce Security Background Check upon successful hiring (if over 20). Please consult your fall schedule and ensure you are available Tue & Sat. Min. 1 year commitment required. ALL classes are now in person.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.85 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 10 per week
