Job Description

We are an established take out restaurant looking to take our business to the next level. We are seeking a kitchen consultant to help us improve our menu, increase kitchen efficiency, source new suppliers, train our staff, and elevate our overall operations. Responsibilities:

• Assess our existing menu and provide recommendations for improvement
• Develop new recipes and menu items that align with our brand and appeal to our customers
• Evaluate our kitchen operations and identify opportunities to increase efficiency and productivity
• Source new suppliers that provide high-quality ingredients at competitive prices
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for our kitchen staff to ensure consistency and quality
• Train our staff on new recipes, techniques, and equipment to improve their skills and productivity
• Oversee the implementation of any new processes or procedures to ensure they are effective and efficient

Expectations:

• The consultant should have a deep understanding of the restaurant industry, including food safety and health regulations
• The consultant should be able to work closely with our team to understand our needs and goals for the business
• The consultant should be able to provide creative solutions to any challenges that arise during the project
• The consultant should be reliable and able to meet project timelines and budgets
• The consultant should have excellent communication skills to keep us informed throughout the project

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Thornhill, ON L4J 7Y3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
