About Us:
Wasabi Sushi & Grill is a locally-owned Japanese restaurant in Vernon offering a wide variety of sushi rolls, tempura, teriyaki dishes, and fresh sashimi.
We pride ourselves on using fresh ingredients and maintaining high quality in a casual, welcoming atmosphere.
Our goal is to deliver excellent food and service -- whether it's a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner with friends or family.
Responsibilities:
Assist with food preparation and cooking under the direction of the head cook or chef Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and other ingredients as needed Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Follow all food safety and sanitation standards Assist with dishwashing and general cleaning as required Support team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Requirements:
Valid
Food Safe Certification (Level 1 or higher)
-- required Previous experience working in a kitchen environment preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced setting Strong teamwork and communication skills Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Must be available for full-time hours, including weekends or evenings as neededWhat We Offer:
