Back of House Kitchen Staff - Texas Barbecue of Canada

At Texas Barbecue of Canada, we serve authentic slow-smoked barbecue with pride and precision. We're looking for dedicated, hardworking kitchen staff who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and take pride in preparing excellent food.

Location: Texas Barbecue of Canada, 7931 Highway 17, Desbarats, Ontario P0R1E0
Compensation: Competitive hourly pay including tips
Hours: AM and PM shifts (Weekdays and Weekends)

Job Responsibilities:

Food Preparation & Cooking

Prepare meats, sides, sauces, and other menu items following recipes and quality standards. Operate smokers, grills, fryers, slicers, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain proper food storage, handling, and labeling to ensure freshness and safety.

Teamwork & Kitchen Flow

Work alongside cooks, prep staff, and front-of-house team to keep service running smoothly. Follow kitchen procedures and food safety protocols to maintain a clean and organized workspace. Assist with portioning, plating, and assembling dishes for quick and accurate service.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Keep kitchen areas clean and sanitized, including equipment, prep stations, and floors. Follow daily and weekly deep-cleaning schedules for all kitchen areas. Properly dispose of waste, recycling, and food waste as needed.

Efficiency & Problem-Solving

Stay organized and proactive during high-volume service times. Work quickly while maintaining attention to detail and consistency. Communicate effectively with the team to resolve kitchen challenges in real time.
