Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and following recipes to ensure timely dish delivery Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly Support the culinary team during busy service periods by bussing tables and clearing used dishes from dining areas Ensure food safety standards are consistently met by adhering to proper food handling procedures and hygiene practices Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels Assist in setting up banquet or event spaces with appropriate food items and serving utensils as needed Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth kitchen operations Follow all health and safety regulations to create a safe environment for staff and guests

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred Hands-on kitchen experience including food preparation, cooking, or banquet service is advantageous Strong understanding of food handling safety protocols and sanitation standards Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team and assist guests when necessary Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Customer service mindset with a positive attitude and willingness to learn Experience with bussing, serving, or hotel hospitality is a plus but not required Basic knowledge of culinary techniques or previous culinary training is beneficial
