Overview

As a Kitchen Team Member of Malabar Mandi Kitchen, you will play a vital role in our restaurant's success by ensuring the efficient preparation and presentation of high-quality meals. You will work collaboratively with your team to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment while adhering to food safety standards. Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Support cooks in the cooking process by preparing ingredients, setting up stations, and assisting with cooking tasks as needed. Monitor food quality and freshness, reporting any issues to the kitchen supervisor. Participate in inventory management by helping to receive, store, and rotate stock efficiently. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Familiarity with Kerala Malabar cuisine is highly preferred Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is a plus. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential for maintaining a safe working environment. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are crucial for success in this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour
