Established Vancouver Island diner looking to expand to Campbell River and we're looking for you!

Duties

Prepare and assemble meals according to established recipes and standards Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients Support cooking activities by following instructions from chefs or line leads Ensure all food handling practices meet safety and sanitation guidelines Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts (CAYG mentality) Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations Follow food safety procedures at all times to prevent contamination or spoilage

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required. You bring the passion for cooking - we'll take care of the training! Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong understanding of food safety standards and sanitation protocols Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or evenings if necessary A positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn new skills in the food industry
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

Pay: $19.50-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 40 per week
