Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils efficiently
Assist with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, or portioning ingredients under supervision
Support the setup and breakdown of banquet and catering events to ensure smooth service
Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed in compliance with health and safety standards
Clear tables, bussing dishes promptly during service hours to maintain a tidy dining environment
Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping floors, sanitizing work surfaces, and waste disposal
Support kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks when required and assist in maintaining stock levels of supplies
Qualifications
Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key!
Knowledge of food handling safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
