From our signature macarons to our show-stopping cakes, we have built a reputation for setting trends in the baking industry. Now, we are looking for an operational leader who can help us scale with structure, efficiency, and creativity.

The Role

We are hiring a Kitchen Operations Manager (KOM) to design and lead the systems that keep our commercial bakery running smoothly. This is a senior leadership role: the KOM will oversee planning, workflow, and production efficiency, directing both the Head Baker and CSR Supervisor. You will serve as the operational backbone of the kitchen, aligning production, customer service, fulfilment, and leadership.

This is a newly created position, offering the opportunity to build systems from the ground up. Reporting directly to the CEO and COO, you will play a vital role in balancing efficiency with creativity, and in shaping the operational framework that supports long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

Build and manage weekly and daily production schedules. Plan workflow and batch days to refine efficiency across multiple product categories. Direct the Head Baker in executing production priorities and daily plans. Oversee the CSR Supervisor and strengthen order communication to the kitchen. Monitor weekly labour costs and margins; provide regular reporting to leadership. Maintain and update costing software to reflect ingredient price fluctuations. Track sales performance and adjust production volumes in line with demand. Oversee the full order cycle from intake through delivery for accuracy and timeliness. Design and implement new scheduling, production tracking, and workflow processes. Document workflows and create training resources for onboarding and staff development. Lead quality control initiatives to maintain and elevate Jenna Rae Cakes' brand standards. Collaborate with leadership on seasonal releases, new product launches, and special projects. Identify bottlenecks and help implement scalable, sustainable solutions.

Who You Are

Experienced:

5+ years leading large-scale production operations (bakery/food manufacturing strongly preferred).

System-Builder:

Skilled at designing and implementing new processes in a growing business.

Confident analysing labour, material costs, and margins to guide decisions.
