Summary

We are seeking a Kitchen Manager for The Lunch Lady in Edmonton. In this pivotal role, you will oversee kitchen operations, ensuring the preparation of high-quality meals while maintaining food safety standards. Your leadership will be essential in fostering a positive work environment and delivering exceptional service to our young customers.

Responsibilities

Manage daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and staff supervision. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean kitchen environment. Follow developed menus that meet nutritional guidelines and cater to children's preferences. Train and mentor kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and efficiency. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain operations. Create daycare checklists for staff to follow to ensure accurate numbers and portions

Requirements

Proven experience in a kitchen management role or similar position. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on quality and satisfaction. Ability to manage a team effectively, fostering a collaborative environment. Experience in the food industry, particularly in meal preparation for large groups.
