Job Title: Kitchen Manager
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth workflow
- Managing inventory for food and beverage items to ensure the kitchen is adequately stocked
- Seeking ways to improve kitchen processes and ensure prompt service
- Creating a schedule for kitchen staff to know their shifts
- Work with chefs to ensure that the menu is correct and up-to-date
- Set standards for kitchen cleanliness and ensuring cleaning is done regularly
- Tracking kitchen waste and looking for improvements for financial return
- Manage and train kitchen staff, including scheduling and performance evaluations
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with the management team to create menus and specials
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that arise
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a kitchen setting
- Familiarity with inventory management systems
