We are looking for an experienced and passionate Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house operations. This role requires a dedicated professional with a strong background in culinary management, food costing, inventory control, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities:
Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient daily operations
Oversee food preparation and production to meet quality standards and timelines
Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Manage inventory levels and coordinate timely ordering of kitchen supplies
Assist in menu planning, development, and costing
Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Maintain daily cleaning schedules and ensure kitchen cleanliness
Schedule staff effectively, aligning with budgeted labour percentages
Track, record, and analyze food waste on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
Monitor food presentation and taste to ensure consistency and excellence
Address customer concerns professionally and promptly
Stay up to date with current food and industry trends and integrate them as needed
Provide daily operational updates and reports directly to the Owner
Qualifications & Requirements:
2-5 years of experience in a kitchen management or leadership role
Valid Food Safety Certification
In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen equipment, and ingredients
Understanding of FOH (Front of House) processes and how they integrate with kitchen operations
Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
Willingness to work 6 days and minimum 48 hours per week including mornings, weekends, and holidays
Experience in menu creation, layout, and cost control
Ability to recruit, train, and retain a motivated kitchen team
Knowledge of current F&B industry trends and best practices
Proven ability to maintain food and labour cost targets
Proficient in inventory and waste management
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Able to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
