Job Overview


We at JINYA Ramen Bar are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee our kitchen operations and ensure the highest standards of food quality and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for managing kitchen staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

Responsibilities



Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and proper food handling procedures. Manage daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food production. Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards. Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop menus that meet customer preferences and seasonal availability. Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS. Conduct interviews and assist in hiring new kitchen staff as needed. Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication among staff members. Address customer inquiries and feedback to enhance overall dining experience.

Qualifications



Proven experience in the food industry with a focus on restaurant management or kitchen operations. Strong cooking skills with knowledge of various cuisines and food preparation techniques. Experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing team dynamics effectively. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems, particularly Micros POS. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. Previous experience in hospitality or hotel environments is a plus. Barista experience is also advantageous for those applying to establishments that serve coffee beverages. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
