We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in food preparation and meal assembly, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about the food industry who thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This is a lead position in the kitchen .The successful candidate should be able to run the kitchen on their own with minor supervision, slice/prep meat, basic prep, setting up the line and wash dishes as needed. Must be able to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday at a minimum. Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely service during peak hours.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
Ability to lead the kitchen solely and or with others
Handle food items safely, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination.
Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and communication.
Complete prep for the week
Slice/Prepare meats, wash dishes as needed
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies
Help the front of the house during busy times to ensure service is running smoothly
Provide friendly and patient service with customers as required
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting, three years minimum required
Strong skills in food preparation techniques and meal assembly processes.
Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and cleanliness.
