Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member to join our culinary team. In this role, you will assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. You will play a vital role in ensuring food safety and delivering exceptional service to our guests.

Duties

Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled and stored correctly to prevent contamination. Support the team in various food service tasks, including plating dishes and preparing garnishes. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to food handling and preparation.

Skills

Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. Experience in meal preparation within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration and support for fellow team members. Basic cooking skills with an eagerness to learn more about the culinary arts. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy shifts.
