Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Helper/Dishwasher to join our culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment, supporting food preparation, and ensuring that all dishes and kitchenware are properly cleaned and sanitized. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and hospitality, with a willingness to learn and grow within the kitchen.

Duties

Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables and assembling ingredients. Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment to maintain cleanliness standards. Bus tables and assist with serving during events or busy meal periods. Support banquet operations by setting up and breaking down dining areas as needed. Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by sweeping floors, taking out trash, and ensuring all surfaces are sanitized. Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service times. Follow all food handling and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is essential. Experience in bussing tables, catering services, or banquet operations is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. A passion for culinary arts and hospitality is highly valued.
