Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in various kitchen operations, ensuring a smooth workflow and contributing to the overall efficiency of meal preparation. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness while supporting our cooks in delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Duties

Assist with meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as directed by the cook or chef. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels. Support cooks in assembling meals and plating dishes for service. Participate in cleaning tasks at the end of shifts to maintain a hygienic work environment. Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe kitchen atmosphere.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and cooking techniques. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.20-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
