Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Helper to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our restaurant, hotel, or hospitality facility. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and support kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and high standards of food safety and hygiene. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is a plus, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are most important.

Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, peeling, and organizing ingredients Support cooking activities under the supervision of chefs or kitchen staff Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly Handle food items safely following proper food handling procedures Help with setting up serving stations and replenishing supplies during service hours Support with basic food service duties such as serving guests or clearing tables in hospitality settings Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean and properly stored after use Follow health and safety regulations to promote a safe working environment

Requirements

Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, or food service environments is preferred but not mandatory Knowledge of cleaning procedures and maintaining sanitary conditions in a kitchen setting Ability to handle food safely and practice proper food handling techniques Basic cooking skills and familiarity with food preparation processes Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards assisting others Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting light loads Flexibility to work during busy hours, including weekends or holidays if needed Hospitality experience or serving background is a plus but not required
