Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Helper to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our restaurant or hospitality establishment by assisting with food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, hospitality, and teamwork, ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen workflow.

Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients Support cooking activities under the supervision of chefs or kitchen staff Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly Ensure food handling procedures meet safety and hygiene standards Help with stock rotation and inventory management of kitchen supplies Support serving staff when necessary to ensure timely delivery of food to guests Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment Assist in setting up dining areas and clearing tables as needed

Requirements

Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, or food service environments is preferred but not mandatory Knowledge of cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards Ability to perform basic food preparation and cooking tasks Strong attention to cleanliness and organization Excellent teamwork and communication skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays if required Prior hospitality or food service experience is a plus but not essential
