Job Summary

We are an South Indian restaurant , specially focussing on south Indian foods. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper and delivery driver to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly, supporting our chef in delivering high-quality meals to our clients. A passion for the food industry and a commitment to food safety are key attributes for this position. Also the helper needs to deliver foods for few hours Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

While not delivering , assist with meal preparation by chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes as directed by the cook or chef. Deliver food during tiffin services. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning countertops, and disposing of waste properly. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food handling practices meet health regulations. Help stock kitchen supplies and ingredients as needed, ensuring that all items are stored properly. Support cooks during busy service periods by providing timely assistance with various kitchen tasks. Participate in inventory management by keeping track of supplies and notifying management when stock is low.

Skills

Previous experience in a Indian restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and kitchen operations. A passion for cooking and an interest in the culinary arts is a plus.
