Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, and support the overall operations of our dining services. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently while adhering to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

Assist with meal preparation and cooking under the guidance of chefs and kitchen staff Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas, including washing dishes and utensils Support menu planning by preparing ingredients and assisting with food service Ensure proper food handling and storage practices are followed to maintain food safety Help with catering events as needed, including setup and serving Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during meal periods Utilize knife skills for food preparation tasks as required Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of dietary needs

Experience

Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred Familiarity with menu planning, fine dining, and food service operations is a plus Experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is beneficial Culinary experience with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and catering is desirable Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen environments

Pay: $15.00-$20.88 per hour
