Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and cleaning surfaces. Support cooks during meal preparation by providing necessary ingredients and tools. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food handling meets health regulations. Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed. Participate in kitchen maintenance tasks, such as sweeping floors and disposing of waste properly.

Skills

Experience in food preparation or working in a restaurant environment is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Willingness to learn and take direction from chefs and kitchen staff. Basic cooking skills are a plus, but not required.
