Responsibilities

Assist with meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as directed by the kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Help with food handling and storage according to food safety regulations to ensure freshness and prevent contamination. Support cooks during busy service periods by providing timely assistance with food preparation tasks. Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment in the kitchen. Assist in inventory management by helping to receive and store food supplies as needed. Participate in regular cleaning schedules for kitchen equipment and workspaces to uphold hygiene standards.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is required. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety standards is essential. Strong knife skills. Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Reliable, organized, and self-motivated with good time management skills. A willingness to learn about meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations is essential. Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment. Positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed. Great written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with kitchen staff and other team members.

Wage & Perks

$17.85/hour starting wage Eligible for increase to $19/hour after 3-month performance review
