The Metro Toronto Convention Centre\'s Culinary department is currently recruiting for Casual Kitchen Helpers. This position involves delegating tasks and ensuring high quality preparation of all food items in a timely manner. The successful candidate is a dedicated, passionate individual who is knowledgeable; customer service oriented and with all proven demonstrated abilities in a professional kitchen.

• Functional knowledge of kitchen areas operational skills in preparation and execution of modern cuisine.
• Assists with social parties, banquets and special events.
• Customer service focused.
• Ensures kitchen is clean and sanitary and is in compliance with all provincial requirements.

Job Skills and Requirements

• Graduation from Culinary college
• Minimum of 1-2 years of professional culinary experience
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Strong basic foundation of culinary skills
• Good organizational skills
• Outstanding customer service skills with a can-do attitude
• Food Handler Certification & WHIMIS
• Basic computer skills
• Candidates must have their own safety shoes.
• This is a casual on call position requiring flexibility and shift work, including days, evenings, and weekends.
