Summerhill Market is looking for a

Kitchen Helper

to join the Commissary team at our

Railside

location.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

Following recipes provided by Team Lead as well as following specific production schedule; Prepping ingredients to be used in the production of products; Properly using equipment such knives, cheese grater, oven and/or stove top; Cleaning and sanitizing work tables, cupboards, and appliances as well as keeping all work areas clean; Unpacking and storing supplies in refrigerators, cupboards and all other storage areas; Packaging or arranging the packaging of products as needed; Understanding of workplace safety as well as food safety and handling; Performing other duties as may be assigned.

Skillset Requirements:

Passion for food - you are a true foodie at heart! Being an effective and positive communicator - having great listening skills patience and knowing how to de-escalate challenging situations Previous food industry experience along with a Food Safety Handlers Certification is an asset Quality driven with strong attention to detail Collaborative with the ability to work in a dynamic team to create solutions in support of store operations Able to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less Flexible availability to work morning, evening, and weekend shifts with the ability to accommodate various shift coverage on short notice Comfortable working in a cooler environment, entering coolers/freezers as needed High school diploma or equivalent preferred
