The Kitchen Helper plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly. Responsibilities
Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients under the guidance of cooks and chefs.
Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
Ensure that all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
Support cooks in assembling dishes and plating food for service.
Clean kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas to uphold hygiene standards.
Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
Participate in maintaining a positive team environment through effective communication and collaboration.
Experience
Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen assistance is preferred but not required; we welcome those eager to learn.
Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations is a plus.
Experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting will be beneficial.
