Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in meal preparation, food service, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role is essential in supporting the kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality food service.

Duties

Assist with meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and preparing ingredients as directed by the chef or kitchen manager. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Support the cooking staff during service by preparing food items and ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper handling and storage of food products. Assist in serving meals to customers or guests as needed, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Help with inventory management by keeping track of stock levels and notifying management when supplies are low.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Knowledge of cooking techniques and meal preparation processes is beneficial. Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations is essential for maintaining a safe kitchen environment. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with kitchen staff and other team members.
