Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. The Kitchen Helper will support the kitchen staff in various tasks, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. This role is essential for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency in the kitchen, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation and meal assembly under the direction of cooks and chefs. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards during all food handling processes. Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying management of low inventory levels. Support cooks in basic cooking tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients. Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all staff members. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to food handling and kitchen operations.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while following instructions from senior kitchen staff. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning new tasks related to food preparation and handling. Willingness to assist with various kitchen duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility in a dynamic work setting.
