We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Duties

Assist in the preparation of meals by chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes as directed by the head cook or chef. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, cleaning countertops, and disposing of waste properly. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure that all food handling practices meet health regulations. Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager. Support the cooking staff during busy service times by providing assistance as needed. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to food preparation and kitchen operations.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential. Basic knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and timely. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule. A passion for cooking and an eagerness to assist in meal preparation within a dynamic kitchen setting.
