As a Kitchen Team Member, you will be responsible for various aspects of meal preparation and food service, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and safety.

Help with house keeping and within classrooms as needed for coverage.

Duties



Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards Assist in meal preparation and food handling to ensure freshness and quality Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety guidelines Support the kitchen team in serving food efficiently during peak hours Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and kitchen operations Participate in inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies

Requirements



Clear Police Vulnerable Check Standard First Aid and CPR level C Immunization Record, TB test Excellent interpersonal skills with parents, community members Mature and responsible attitude towards work Willingness to work flexible hours Maintain confidentiality At times, you may be asked to assist in another room Must attend professional workshops at least twice a year This position reports to the Director or Supervisor of the center Previous experience in a child care kitchen setting is preferred Knowledge of Public health regulations Familiarity with food safety practices Valid Food Handlers Certificate Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing kitchen demands

Working Conditions



Indoor and outdoor

Standing, bending, crouching, some lifting (up to 25 kg)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.75-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
