Responsibilities
Assist with basic prep tasks as needed, such as: washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, etc.
Receive and store deliveries safely and efficiently
Move heavy items, and assist with loading and unloading vehicles for off-site catering events
Support chefs and kitchen staff by organizing ingredients and supplies as needed.
Help with inventory management by keeping track of supplies and notifying management when stock is low.
Adhere to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times.
Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations during service periods.
Experience
and Skills:
Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or catering environment an asset, but not required
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Familiarity with food preparation techniques and cooking methods is advantageous.
Comfortable
lifting and moving heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
Experience in cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment is a plus.
Availability for flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
