As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while adhering to food safety standards and maintaining a clean kitchen.

Duties

Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Assist in meal preparation and presentation, ensuring high quality and appealing dishes. Follow food safety guidelines, including proper food handling and storage practices. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols.

Skills

Experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred. Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling practices. Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices. Attention to detail with a focus on quality presentation of dishes. Flexibility to adapt to changing menus or dietary requirements.
