The Armstrong Regional Coop is seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Preparer to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring efficient workflow, food safety, and high-quality food service in our Armstrong BC location. This role will involve managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring adherence to food safety standards and best practices.
Plan and execute food preparation, following recipes and specifications.
Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure cost-effective operations.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to hygiene and sanitation guidelines.
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
Address any food safety or operational issues promptly and effectively.
Qualifications:
Valid FOODSAFE Level 1 certification or equivalent.
Relevant experience, including experience with food safety and inventory management.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation.
