About the role

Westman Lumber Supply Ltd.

is seeking a motivated

Kitchen & Finishing Sales Associate

to join our team. This role focuses on

designing and selling kitchens

, as well as supporting customers with finishing products such as

flooring, paint, tiles, faucets, and lighting

. You will work closely with both homeowners and contractors to provide

expert advice, creative design solutions, and outstanding customer service

.

Key responsibilities

Assist customers with product selection in kitchens, flooring, tile, paint, lighting, and plumbing Provide design support using 2020 3D design software where applicable Conduct customer consultations and assess project needs Prepare accurate quotes, sales orders, and follow-ups Maintain showroom presentation and coordinate inventory as required Collaborate with team members to ensure customer satisfaction Build and maintain strong client relationships Stay current on product knowledge and design trends

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in design, construction, or a related field is an asset Previous sales and/or design experience is preferred, especially with kitchens and finishing products (flooring, tiles, paint, lighting, plumbing) Proficiency in design software (e.g., 2020 Design, SketchUp, or similar) is an asset; ability to read blueprints or floor plans is an advantage Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills Attention to detail, organizational ability, and a problem-solving mindset Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment Enthusiasm and willingness to learn; training will be provided for the right candidate
