Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Operate kitchen equipment like the grill, stove, oven and fryers
Handle food in compliance with safety and sanitation regulations
Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
Provide excellent customer service by taking orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system, including Micros POS
Process transactions, including cash handling and basic math calculations for accurate billing
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy kitchen setting
Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor towards guests
Experience with cashiering duties is a plus
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and sanitation practices is essential
